Serhiy Onyshchuk / KW Marysville – Northwest WA Real Estate, Call 425.610.SOLD (7653)
During my my last Arlington open house I lost one of my directional signs.
I doubt it got stolen since my name was on it. Who wants to use a real estate sign with someone else’s name on it?
There’s a good chance that it got confiscated. Yes, I placed it along Highway 530 in Arlington, WA. Yes, I probably violated some code, so my sign got picked up by some passing by public worker.
If we, Realtors, do break any laws, it’s probably sign ordinances. First, various communities have different rules and it’s hard to keep up with them. Second, even knowing the rules we kind of push the envelope a little to expand our advertising. And sometimes it hurts. I’ll have to spend another $30 to get a new sign…
No matter the rules, I believe that real estate signs are very crucial for the community. Yes, they benefit real estate agents. Yes, they benefit home sellers and home buyers. But they also benefit community members who aren’t even thinking about real estate!
Need a proof for that? Check out this creative use of a real estate sign in Marysville, WA.
